Training Items

If you wish to pursue getting your gyroplane certificate there are a number of documents you need to familiarize yourself with and items we highly recommend you purchase and have available during training.

We encourage you to pass your FAA written exam, if required, prior to commencing your flight training. However, we are here to assist you in passing this exam if you plan to take it after starting your training.

The knowledge portion of flying gyrocopters is just as important as the physical control of the aircraft. The knowledge requirements can be challenging for some students so we do not want to see you spend a lot of money on flight training and then not be able to pass the written exam. Written exam results are good for two years giving you plenty of time to complete the flight training.

Please view the sections below on what you will need during your training with us. Some of these items are available through our Store.

Please note: You must weigh less than 260 lbs for weight and balance reasons. Additionally,  if you have any medical or physical issues, mobility issues, vision or hearing problems, or any issues that affect full use of your legs, arms, hands, fingers, etc., please discuss this with us beforehand.
